Meet Nick

Frustrated with the lack of authentic bagels in Las Vegas, Nick decided to open his own business, Abel’s Bagels. The name, inspired by the Biblical figure Abel, represents Nick’s commitment to offering only the best quality.

New York bagels are considered to be some of the best in the world due to their unique texture and flavor. The dough used to make New York bagels is made from high-quality ingredients – At Abel’s Bagels, Nick uses many organic ingredients to craft his proprietary dough before hand-rolling and forming the bagels. After the bagels are formed and proofed, they are cold-proofed for 12-40 hours to develop deeper flavor and character. After cold-proofing, the bagels are boiled in water before being baked in a 450 degree oven. The combination of the high-quality ingredients, hand-rolling, precision proofing, and the boiling and baking process, results in a chewy texture on the inside and a crispy crust on the outside. Additionally, the high-gluten flour gives the bagels a distinct flavor and a satisfying chew.

In 2022, Nick Was Driven By His Desire To Bring The Taste Of New York Bagels To Las Vegas. Nick Decided To Open His Business, Abel’s Bagels In SW Las Vegas. Abel’s Bagels, Inspired By The Biblical Figure Abel, Represents Nick’s Commitment To Offering Only The Best Quality.

In 2014, the organic juice bar nooks & kindles was created, a brainchild of Nick and his original partner at the time, Kendall (hence the name nooks & kindles), serving the Roslyn community in New York for 9 years with organic delights such as acai bowls, smoothies, and juices. All recipes were made from scratch, where all ingredients were always organic, healthy, and consciously crafted. Over time, nooks & kindles changed its name to nooks' Organic and today, at Abel's Bagels, you'll notice the sign on our door that says "nook's Inside" inviting you to come in and try one of our high-quality juice bar items.
